The Prestressed Group History

In 1975 Valentino Collavino co-founded Prestressed Systems Inc. in Windsor, Ontario; today his son, Loris, (lcollavino@psi-hci.com) serves as the C.E.O. of the company, which has grown into a full-service precast manufacturing organization.  The company's initial focus was on the manufacturing and installation of hollowcore floor and roof slabs for the Ontario and Michigan construction markets.   

Over the years a strong and dedicated management team has been instrumental in growing the company into a full-service architectural and structural precast operation.  This management team, along with the experienced workforce, strives to exceed customer expectations on all projects.

Now with a workforce of over two hundred employees and projects ranging from Quebec to Kentucky, and Ontario to New York, The Prestressed Group is a proven national leader in the manufacture and installation of prestressed/precast concrete solutions.

The Prestressed Group has production facilities in Windsor, Ontario; River Rouge, Michigan; and Fairfield, Ohio.  Using the combined capacity of its production facilities, The Prestressed Group can meet all of your precast concrete needs, from hollowcore plank and structural products (voided slabs, box beams, girders, double tees, beams, columns, walls, noise walls, etc.) to high-end architectural products.

In keeping with Our Mission to be a good corporate citizen, our employees regularly support various charities throughout the year.

The Prestressed Group has also committed to become a more sustainable corporation. Under the direction of Sustainability Leader Randy Primeau, a detailed plan has been developed and implementation of several sustainable initiatives has begun.
