Engineering Student Design Contest

  • Engineering students from across North America participate

  • The Prestressed Group supplies local students with facilities, materials, equipment, and personnel 

  • Students design materials and structure a 16-foot span precast concrete beam following strict rules

  • Congratulations to the team from the University of Windsor who got seventh place in this year's Big Beam Contest! (pictured above)
     

  

  • Hosted annually at the Windsor plant since 1998

  • Held by CPCI across Canada

  • Approximately 150 students along with local architects come to be educated about precasting/prestressing
